Location: Radio Station Offices of 105.5 WQRK, Z102 & WBIW 1340 AM in Bedford, IN  (Private Property - No Trespassing)

Members Present: Michael, Tyler, April, Mark, Bryan & Jamie with the SCI-PRO team - Gage and Tim from the radio station.

Story / Reports of Activity: WBIW began broadcast in 1948 in a private dwelling that had been converted into offices and studios. Most of the broadcast equipment at that time was homemade, built by the engineer for the radio station, Carl Finger whom many employees at the radio station believe haunts the building. The radio station eventually became known as "Old Bill's Radio Farm", named after one of the radio station's three original owners and named for the many acres of land that the station owned and farmed. The station played a variety of music along with local and national news and sports programs. In the 1980s, the music switched to exclusively country music, and the format changed again in the mid-1990s to Oldies. After acquiring radio station WQRK, WBIW began phasing out music programming and disc jockeys in favor of syndicated talk shows.

Several paranormal stories were told to the team - here is a sample - 1) Tim was working one night at the radio station and during his regular routine noted that a "monitoring" radio came on at max and scared him. 2) Gage recalls an instance in which he was in the WBIW office completing a lineup, looked up and then saw a face in the glass behind him, 3) Gage also reports that some coworkers have discussed things moving on their own, operations stopping unexpectedly, etc.       

Equipment Used: 2 Static IR Cams, All 3 Sony IR camcorders, 2 - K-2 Sensors, 1 EMF Detector, 2 Voice Recorders, Canon Rebel Digital Cameras, Ovilus U.V. lighting, 

Suggestions: Let it be known, at the VERY start of this investigation, that the location we are investigating is a site with extremely high EMF levels due to the numerous pieces of broadcasting equipment this radio station utilizes - its essentially a powerhouse of energy (simple walk through showed a 188.4 on the EMF meter near the reception transmitter in the WBIW studio)**. The biggest hurdle that the team faces in this investigation are the following: 1) determining what is a true hit (on K2 sensor or EMF detector) versus RF signals / stray EMF, 2) the radio station's decibel level is at 30-40db with all "monitoring" music down or off - so EVP will be hard to capture, & 3) Location of paranormal activity seems to focus only in a specific area and that area is the office of WBIW and the "records room" so teams will have to worry about working around each other. We will not lie to you - this will be a difficult investigation and only want you to be fully aware about this location.

Steps being taken to try to avoid false positive hits on our devices - we will scan the radio station for the most neutral of places and conduct the research from those locations - to assess the best neutral locations, we will use the Lutron EMF-822A to establish a steady baseline and monitor this for a bit for possible fluctuations. We will then place a K2 sensor in the same area with the EMF and monitor that without attempting to make contact initially - if there are no stray hits, we will start to engage in "call and response."

**Unusually high EMF exposure has been known to cause the following symptoms: headache, blurry sight, dizziness, nausea, paranoid thoughts, skin rash, facial swelling, weakness, fatigue, pain in joints and/or muscles, buzzing/ringing in ears, skin numbness, abdominal pressure and pain, breathing difficulty, and irregular heartbeat. Additional symptoms have been reported in some individuals such as paralysis, balance problems, body and/or muscle spasms, convulsions, confusion, depression , difficulty in concentrating, seizure, sleep disturbances, and memory difficulties.

Evidence suggesting Paranormal Activity:

Investigation will start at 6pm on Friday, Oct 30th, 2009.

*For the purpose of this investigation, we are making the general broadcast to any possible spirits that the proper way to communicate with us through the K2 meter, whether is be to answer in a positive manner or confirm something, to manipulate the K2 meter by disrupting the field and lighting up the device - if the answer is no, not to respond at all.
